Yes, we finally had some warm weather here in Seattle! Our family along with a few others decided to take advantage of the warmth and go on a little excursion to Deception Pass. What a beautiful place! It was so relaxing and the kids had a great time! It was so nice to just kick back and let them play. I think Jaden spent the whole day playing in the water and sand. He had a great time and wants to go back soon. He enjoys being a beach bum!! Halli pretty much steered clear of the water (it was freezing so I don't blame her). She spent most of her time playing in the sand and eating snacks! She had so much sand in her hair, I thought for sure it would take weeks to get out! Raggie just hung out in her bouncy chair all day. She loves that thing! She was such a good girl...come to think of it, they were all great!! It was a great stress-free day, hope to do it again soon!!

Mother's Day!
What a great day! I love this day and am so thankful there's a day to honor our mothers! Being a mom is a tuff job that never ends. I am so grateful for my mom and for the example she has set for me. I have always loved and appreciated my mom, but I think as I get older I realize more and more how much I appreciate the things she did and still does for me. She has so many great qualities, but I think the one that sticks out in my mind is how thoughtful she is. She is always doing things for others. This must run in the blood because Grandma Faye was always taking her cinnamon rolls to friends and neighbors along with other homemade goods. To me this is one of the best qualities you could have! I hope to follow in her footsteps. Happy Mother's day mom, I love you and am so honored to have you as my mom!
Now, for my mother's day! I awoke to the smell of breakfast cooking, what more could I ask for? Justin makes a good breakfast! While waiting for everything to get done, I got to open my cards from the kids and Justin. Jaden was so excited and proud of the card he gave me. The card Justin gave me won the prize! On the front it read: It's Mother's Day! Relax, take a long nap, put your feet up, and don't worry about a thing!! In the inside it read: Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha, Now THAT'S a funny card, isn't it?! I did get somewhat of a break. Justin made the meals for the day and even cleaned up! I don't think I could have asked for anything better! I love you Just!! And I love you too Jaden, Halli, and Ragen!
The Friday before Mother's day I got to attend Preschool with Jaden for a special day! They showed the moms what they do everyday, sang us songs and we even got to have a snack with them! Jaden had done a special picture for me! The students were asked to draw a picture of their mom and then they were asked some questions about their mom. I have posted Jaden's portrait of me his answers to the questions. Some of them I must say I really like!! It was a fun day and I'm so happy I got to spend some quality time with my Jaders!!
The words didn't turn out so great...so here are the responses Jaden gave about me:
My mom is as tall as Mrs. McBride.
My mom is 11 years old.
My mom weighs 45 pounds. (love this one!)
My mom's hair is yellow.
My mom's eyes are blue.
My mom's eyes are blue.
My mom's favorite color is pink.
My mom's favorite food is chicken.
My mom's job is to clean up the house. (Wow, he does pay attention! ha ha!!)
He did a great job answering the questions and he did get a few right! Good job Jaden!!
He still loves looking at his art work and has made sure that I am aware that he put chapstick on his picture. I do apply chapstick all day long...I need one hanging around my neck!!

"The Big Red Car"
We have had this red car ever since Jaden was a baby. He hated riding in his stroller so we found this and he never wanted to get out. It was then passed down to Halli and she loves riding in it. Jaden and Halli love riding in it down the hill that comes down to our house or our neighbors driveway. Maybe not the safest activity but hey they have a good time. Anyway, the other day I thought I would stick Ragen in it to see if tradition would carry on. Sure enough she loved it! I had a few mild heart attcks because Halli insisted on pushing her and quite often she would end up popping wheelies...don't be scared it would take a lot to tip this over, but still my heart would drop! I noticed that one of the wheels is split, oh no!! Things don't last forever! We may have to get a new one so Raggie can have her turn at enjoying "The Big Red Car!"
Check out those eyebrows!
Look at that left hand turn position!
Fashion Statement!
~What's up?~
Halli decided she would add some accessories to her outfit. I think it might become trendy, you know mix and match all kinds of patterns!! She loves to put bloomers on her head. She calls them hats! I'm sure this is all leading up to something big and exciting...like playing dress up all day! Does this mean more laundry?...if so I think I will opt out!
Fascination!!
~Are you kidding me??~
I mentioned before that Halli is fascinated with bum medicine...well once again she has proven me right! I thought she had just managed to paint my pillow with Vaseline but later Justin found her baby with a thick layer also. At least she's getting it in the right area! What a girl! She sure does give us some good laughs!

Rewind...
~Ragen's Blessing Day!!~
Our little Angel!!
We blessed Ragen February 3, 2008. Grandpa and Grandma Holmgren came to Seattle to celebrate Ragen's special day with us. She looked like a little angel and Justin gave her an awesome blessing! He does such a great job! It was so funny, after the blessing he leaned over and asked me if he had said Halli any time during the blessing and my response was, "I don't know...even if you did it probably wouldn't have phased me." I am so grateful to have a husband who holds the Priesthood, what a blessing that is in itself. I love him so much and appreciate all he does for our family. He's a great dad and husband!!

Halli and Ragen Updates
Our little Halli is quite the character. She too is broadening her vocabulary. I can't believe she will be two next month! Where has the time gone?? It seems not too long ago that I brought her home from the hospital.
Halli really keeps me on my toes. Some of her favorite things are toothpaste, bum medicine, and anything and everything that pumps. It seems she is always one step ahead of me. There have been several occasions that she will come to me with toothpaste or bum medicine smeared across her cheeks. I got to the point where all I could do was laugh, becasue I knew she had planned out that mission and she had accomplished it. She recently went through a pany liner phase. One day I found her in the bathroom putting a panty liner in her little bumkins. She new exactly how and where it went. So the next day I went to change her bum and sure enough she had a panty liner in proper position. Oh what a girl!
Some of Halli's favorite things (besides the toothpaste and bum medicine) are: following Jaden around, screaming for no apparent reason most of the time, playing "side" (outside), riding her bike, playing in the rocks, and just watching the big kids play. She like her older brother has a lot of energy. We are very excited for summer!!
We love her to death and get some good chuckles from her! My favorite things are when you ask her how old she is. It used to be two and now she says tree! When you ask her her name she says Halli Miller. The Miller is not so clear but I know she's trying. She like saying, "Raggie chubby!" One day she came and sat on my lap, looked at me and started saying our names followed by chubby! That really boosted the self esteem that day!

Here's Halli performing her panty liner placement!! She seems so proud of herself!
Now there's our Raggie! We love her so much! She turns 6 months tomorrow and is growing like a weed! Ragen really enjoys watching her older brother and sister. Before too long I will get to enjoy watching all of them run around. Ragen has been an awesome baby, thank goodness for that! I may jinx myself by saying this, but it was about time that I got a baby that likes to sleep through the night! My Halli still gives us issues. Ragen is, most the time, pretty easy going. I think her favorite thing to do is sit in her bouncy chair. Justin and I comment quite often that soon she is going to launch herself right out! She also loves to roll around on the floor. I don't know if I'm quite ready for her to be doing these things. I want her to stay "put" for just a bit longer but I guess her time has come! The thing I love most about my little Raggie is how happy and smiley she is. I will be holding her and feel her looking at me so I'll look at her and she just grins ear to ear. She's so precious!
I love my little munchkins!!

Jaden Updates!
Our Jaden is really giving us a run for our money!! We keep thinking that he will grow out of whatever phase he is going through, but we are about hitting the ripe age of six and things are not changing, it seems things just get worse! We love him to death but he is oh so negative! Does any one have any suggestions, maybe patience?? Well, I think I'm about out of those.
So on with the good!! He is finishing up his last couple months of preschool and I think he is glad for that. He talks about kindergarten and tells me he will ride the bus to kindergarten but first he has to be six. He is looking forward to the summer and says he wants spring time to be gone. The other day he gave me a list of things that he needed to do this summer. The list included: soccer, swimming, tee ball, tennis and a few others. Wow!! Sounds like a busy summer. He likes playing with his friends and enjoys riding his bike, scooter, and Halli's bike (of course he does this just to get a good scream out of her!) He says some pretty funny things. His vocabulary is starting to broaden. Today he wanted to go on a bike ride with dad but he didn't want to go on the board walk, he wanted to go on a "decent" bike ride! Where in the world did he get that one!
A couple months ago Jaden some how tipped over in my jogging stroller and ended up in the emergency room to get stitches in his head. He wasn't so much concerned about his head having a gouge as he was about having his friends laugh at him. I had to reassure him several times that his friends would think he was tough!! After he got stitched up he told us he wanted to be a doctor when he got big so he could help people when they got hurt. So, a few days later was Sunday and we were waiting to take the sacrament and Justin leaned over to Jaden and asked him if he would like to do what those boys were doing and he said, "I told you when I get big I'm going to be a doctor and put stitches in peoples heads!" He does give us some good laughs.

We're Back!! Maybe??
Justin was so awesome and started our family blog and then turned the reins over to me and as you can see it's been four months!! I am soooo behind in scrap booking and thought this would be a great way to keep up on my little kiddos funny moments, challenging moments and the list could go on. I have given myself the challenge of giving updates to family and friends once a month and if I get more done, YAH Me!!
So...now that I have figured out the basics of this blog thing I think I can keep you all updated on the events that take place in the Miller family. I hope you will all check back and see what we are up to and hopefully that will give me the encouragement to keep going!! I think it could get kind of addicting!
