Sprinkler Park

The sky was clear, the sun was out, and the temp. was well into the 70's so we headed to the Willis Tucker sprinkler park! The kids had a good time playing in the water but the toys were a bigger hit this trip! I don't know why I didn't get a picture of Jaden, he was having a blast on the merry go round! All the kids love that, just watching it makes me want to hurl!!

First Family Camping Trip

For our first family camping trip we headed to Ensign Ranch! It was a great place for our first camping experience! I liked that I could walk maybe 1/4 of a mile and go to a potty that flushed and wash my hands in running water, there were even showers, that is if you wanted to take an ice cold shower!! I did tough it out most of the time and went to the port a potty, they freak me out, but I needed to try my best to be a "true" camper!! The kids had a blast and I quickly got use to the fact that they were going to get dirty! We ate good food, had more s'mores than I should have, played by the water, went on nature walks, rode horses, and played on the water slide! The kids did really well, even Raggie! Everyone wants to go again, even me! Did I just say that?!! Oh...I almost forgot the best part. While packing up to leave, we discovered the truck battery had died due to watching a movie too long without starting it up! Note to self...don't do that again!! We had to have one of the Missionaries come out and jump us!! That was another nice part, it is church owned so if you need help you just have to take a walk to the office and there you will find lots of missionaries, mostly older couples!

No more Naps!!

I think we have reached the stage where Halli is done with naps! :( I dread the day this happens!! When 5 o'clock hits the beast comes out!! I guess putting her to bed even earlier than 8pm is an added bonus, but boy does it make for a super long day!!

Mother's Day 2009

I was so lucky to be able to have my mom here in Seattle for Mother's Day! It has been a while since I have been able to spend Mother's Day with her. I love my mom, she's super great!! I think what I love most about my mom is her willingness to do anything for anyone! Another thing is her cooking and baking talents!! Geez I wish I could get the bread thing down!! She definitely did not pass the bread skills on to me, poor me!! She's not only a good mom but a good grandma to my kiddos!! It's hard being far away and not able to see grandparents more frequently but when we do see them the time spent with them is quality!!

Ride the Ducks

Grandma Linda came to visit us in May and we decided to do something we have never done here in Seattle, "Ride the Ducks"!! It was so much fun!! So, it's a land and sea tour on a rig they used in WW II called an amphibious vehicle. Coast Guard certified maritime captains drive these crazy things while telling about the historical sites and on top of that, they put on quite a performance! We danced in our seats, sang songs, laughed at jokes and the kids had a great time blowing their quackers!! It was pretty neat to be riding down Highway 99, exit off and drive down into Lake Union, float around a for awhile, then drive out and hit the Highway again! I think the rigs top speed is 40 mph! It was a fun time and the kids had a blast! Jaden and Halli still ask when we are going to go Ride the Ducks again!!

It got a little bit windy for Halli, so she decided to pull her hood down over her face! Pretty comical!

Tulips--Take 2

The kids and I had a great afternoon at the Tulip Festival! We almost made it through the trip "drama free" until we had to take a potty break and Halli slipped and fell in the only mud puddle in the whole tulip field! Good thing we were planning to leave after our potty stop! She was a trooper after a few minutes and forgot about the fall even though her bum was wet and muddy!
If you live in Washington you must mark your calendars for the Tulip Festival! I have never seen so many tulips and so many different colors!
Jaden, Halli, Mom, and Ragen!
Raggie smelling the tulips!
Halli decided the tulips need a "lug"!
And a smell!!

Bust a move!!

I just had to post these pictures of Halli!! I will post more of our outing a bit later, but it was a must that I put these on first. So, out of the blue while walking along the tulips Halli starts busting out these awesome moves and I could not resist!! She was quite impressive!! She didn't seem to care who was watching her and didn't mind me snapping shots through the whole routine!! It was great entertainment, probably better if you would have been there! But this will have to do!

Here we go!!

Break it down!!

Check out that ending pose! You go girl!!
It was an awesome performance!!

First Painting

Don't even ask!!! I don't know what kind of mood I was in, but it must have been a good one! Ragen had a ton of fun!! Notice she even tried eating it! Looking at the picture now makes me nervous! That is so unlike me! It was a pain in the brain to clean up, but like I said, it didn't seem to bother me that day!

Halli is offering her more paint, sure why not!! Can you tell she's all over the idea?!!

Another Day at the Beach

For Justin's 35th birthday we decided to spend the day at the beach! We had such a fun time just hanging out, relaxing, and letting the kids throw rocks in the water and play in the sand! I think this is what I would call one of my best days...when I can just let my kids run and have fun and not worry too much that they might do something wrong! Okay, I guess they can still find trouble but my stress level seems to be at a low!

Raggie would throw a rock in the water and then run before the wave got her, it was so funny!

Easter!!

The Miller children were so excited for Easter and very curious to know what the Easter Bunny would be bringing them. Jaden was constantly asking me why he couldn't see the Easter Bunny and thought it was totally unfair that moms and dads could see him and not kids! Kids are so dang curious!! The kiddos were quite pleased with their baskets and the candy was a hit, of course!! HAPPY EASTER!!

Halli was so surprised when her Magnadoodle started to make noises!

I had to post this just for the hair! Is that a 60's style?

SCORE!!
